The Centre for Educational Enterprise, in partnership with STEMHUB, are proud to present STEM Curriculum Hack, an intensive, one day, co-design experience that brings STEM educators and industry stakeholders together to imagine transformational education experiences for middle school STEM students.
The need for STEM Curriculum Hack is spawned by an increasing national demand for an integrated STEM curriculum (Education Council, 2015) as well as a growing call for students to experience the relevant skills, knowledge and attitudes required by industry (Office of the Chief Scientist, 2013).
STEM Curriculum Hack will draw on the KaosPilot model for designing transformational educational experiences known as ‘Vision Backcasting’. This framework will allow participants to articulate a shared vision for a STEM curriculum and problem-based learning strategies and hands-on experiences to co-design a solution.
